Harry Styles’ acceptance speech after he won the Grammy award for album of the year caused an uproar on social media Sunday night. “I think on nights like tonight it’s important for us to remember there is no such thing as ‘best’ in music. I don’t think any of us sit in the studio making decisions on what is going to get us one of these,” Styles said, referring to the award in his hands, which he won for the album “Harry’s House.” But it was the last sentence of his speech that riled up social media users, who took different interpretations of what he meant: “This doesn’t happen to people like me very often and this is so, so nice. Thank you very much,” Styles said, before handing the microphone off to his co-writers Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson. Usually we turn to Lou Teasdale for behind-the-scenes info on the boys’ best looks. The British hairstylist and makeup artist is not only to thank for each of the boys’ signature styles, but she’s also a master of every beauty trend we’ve copied from braids to clumped out spider lashes. Breaking down our favorite looks in her book, The Craft: DIY Hair And Beauty, Lou is also the ambassador for Fudge Urban Styling Products, which we’re pretty certain is behind the boys’ hair looks.

For “Perfect,” however, Nicola Schuller took over, giving Harry’s usually bouncy curls a bit of mussed-up texture that made for a more scenic view than the NYC skyline that was weaved throughout the video.

With all of the success 1D has been having lately, we’re starting to wonder if like Samson, their secret strength lies in Harry’s growing locks. In addition to releasing the new video for “Perfect” and continuing their world tour, the boys also released a new song off of their upcoming album on October 20, “Home.”
